An Israeli celebrity recently graced Comic-Con’s “Women Who Kick Ass” panel alongside big names like Kathy Bates and Gwendoline Christie from “Game of Thrones”.
Gal Gadot was a hit at the 2015 San Diego Comic-Con, as evidenced by the screams emanating from Hall H. Following her appearance at Warner Bros.’ panel, where she debuted as Wonder Woman in “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice,” Gadot elaborated on what it was like to try on the iconic costume for the first time. She revealed that three days after she was cast for the movie, she was flown to Michigan and led into a room filled with images of herself as Wonder Woman. She then had a fitting, and described the experience as “out-of-body,” since she was just a little girl from Israel becoming the superheroine. Gadot expressed her gratitude at being chosen to bring Wonder Woman to life, and feels that the costume represents the character of today.
During a panel discussion at Warner Bros, Gal Gadot was accompanied by other actresses such as Gwendoline Christie, Haley Atwell, Jenna Coleman, and Kathy Bates. One fan who spoke Hebrew asked Gadot to share her experience of making it in Hollywood from such a small country like Israel. Gadot replied that all the clichés were true, and it doesn’t matter where you come from as long as you are persistent, good, proactive, and trying your best. Gadot will be seen alongside other actors like Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Jeremy Irons, Demian Birchir, and Holly Hunter when “Dawn of Justice” hits theaters on March 25, 2016.
